Our story
vAutoCars grew out of the vAutoStock ecosystem. The same UK motor-trade founders who built the dealer platform kept hearing the same complaint from their customers: dealerships were paying £30–60 per car per month to list on the big marketplaces — while every one of those cars was already entered, with full spec, photos and live status, into their own stock management system.
So we built the marketplace that reads from the stock system directly. No re-keying, no per-car fees, no “preferred listing” upsells. Just live stock, straight from the dealer's forecourt to the buyer's screen.
What vAutoCars does
- Free listings powered by live vAutoStock inventory — every car on the site is actually available today.
- Direct enquiries to the dealer — no middleman, no lead-reseller, no call-centre handling your message.
- Photography built-in — dealer staff shoot vehicles in the vAutoStock mobile app and the images flow straight onto the listing.
- No per-listing fees, ever — dealerships pay a single platform subscription, not a toll on every car.
Our mission
Cut the cost of selling a used car. Keep the conversation between the buyer and the dealer who actually owns the vehicle. Reinvest the money dealers would otherwise spend on listing fees into a better platform — not into commissions.
Who's behind vAutoCars
vAutoCars is operated by Visual Automotive Limited, a UK-based software company. Founder and CEO Chris Barrett has spent his career inside the UK motor trade, and is backed by a senior team of automotive and software professionals.
We are the same company behind vAutoStock (trusted by 100+ UK dealerships), vAutoParts (a parts lifecycle platform for multi-branch groups) and vAutoBots (RPA automation for CDK, Pinnacle, Gemini, Incadea and Click Dealer).
Looking ahead
The marketplace is in beta. Next on the roadmap: deeper AI-driven vehicle enrichment, richer photography workflows direct from the dealer's forecourt, and tighter integrations with more dealer stock systems so every UK forecourt can be represented on equal terms.
